Why we have these
Macrocellar lets people share recipes, add foods to a shared catalogue and talk to coaches through check-ins and plans. These rules keep that safe, especially for younger members. They form part of our Terms of Use and Coach Terms.
Be kind and respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination.
- No body shaming, including in recipes, food names, plans or coach replies.
- Don’t share anyone else’s personal information.
Keep it healthy
- Nothing that promotes or glamorises eating disorders, extreme restriction, purging, “thinspiration” or self-harm.
- No dangerous diets, unprescribed drugs or supplements sold as weight-loss cures.
- No medical claims you can’t back up (“cures diabetes”, “detox”).
- Coaches: never set targets below safe levels or encourage a client to ignore medical advice.
Keep food data accurate
Add foods as they appear on the label. Don’t add fake or joke foods. If you spot a mistake, use Report incorrect info on the food.
Only share what’s yours
Share recipes and content you created or have permission to use. Don’t copy recipes, photos or plans from books or websites word for word.
No spam or selling
No adverts, affiliate links or selling to other members. Coaches may only promote their own coaching services outside the app.
Nothing illegal
Never share illegal content of any kind, including content that exploits or endangers children, terrorist content, fraud or threats. We report illegal content to the police and other authorities where required.
Reporting and what we do
Report a food with Report incorrect info, or email hello@macrocellar.com about anything else (see Complaints). A person reviews every report. Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, warn you, pause features or close an account, and we’ll tell you why unless that would put someone at risk. You can appeal any decision.
